Sunsets Rooftop, the brainchild of Daniel Alec Tuivaiti & Katrina Hekoi Mead, is set to become one of Brisbane's most stunning venues!
In a city teeming with dining and drinking options, it takes something truly spectacular to make us do a double-take. Kangaroo Point's latest rooftop addition, Sunsets Rooftop, managed to do just that! From the moment the elevator doors open on the top floor of a residential tower on Linton Street, you'll find yourself in awe.
Breathtaking Views
It's not just the breathtaking desert-inspired interiors that will leave you speechless; it's also the location. Imagine sipping your favourite cocktail while taking in a bird's-eye view of The Gabba on one side and the mesmerising city skyline on the other, stretching from Queen's Wharf to the Valley. It's an ideal spot to catch a mesmerising sunset.
A Seamless Connection
With a keen eye for Mediterranean and desert-themed decor vibes, Uniqwa pieces that complement this theme were carefully selected.
"We knew we had found the perfect match for what we had in mind for the venue when we discovered Uniqwa through Instagram. The first time we walked into their Gold Coast headquarters, we were completely awe-struck, from the ambience to the service and, obviously, the incredible pieces of furniture designed by Charl - it all just made so much sense. The pieces were such a good fit for our venue as they pair perfectly with our colour scheme: warm and earthy colour palettes that mimic the orange and terracotta hues of the setting sun," says Katrina and Daniel.
"Uniqwa's furniture complements the organic theme of the rooftop with cacti and olive trees, creating a seamless connection with the natural surroundings and our venue."
Mediterranean Oasis
Stepping onto the rooftop, you'll feel as though you've been transported to the Mediterranean. The Uniqwa Brunswick Bar tables and the blend of Shanghai Barchairs and Kusina Barstools seamlessly blend into the setting with their natural wood and earthy tones, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Olive trees and terracotta pots surround Masekela Loungers, accenting the space, while the Stomp Tables provide the perfect platform for drinks and snacks.
The Harper Armless Sofa offers comfortable seating and a space to relax and soak in the ambience as you enjoy a coconut margarita or one of their other refreshing cocktails.
According to Daniel and Katrina, the goal was to design a venue with the concept of imperfections.
"This is achieved through the use of natural materials like wood, stone, and greenery. The furniture pieces are made of reclaimed timber & hand-weaved rope to give a sense of uniqueness while maintaining comfort for the guests. The furniture layout is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for different seating arrangements to accommodate various group sizes and events."
